Midnight rescue

Late one November night, we heard crying from an abandoned building, and found this little fellow, cold and scared in the dark. We wrapped him up in blankets, got him some food and settled him in a warm bed for the night. Later we found his mom, a young field worker struggling to make ends meet. Material help and ministry are beginning to help her make changes in her lifestyle – not an overnight process! – but at least little Juanito is safe and cared for, under the watchful eye of a loving God.
